| Personal History | The oldest of three, Shras was often called upon to help his mother tend to his siblings. His father was more often than not away from home. When Shras reached the aged of adulthood, he was sent to the Academy. His previous training with his own people made hime a prime candidate for the Marines. Starfleet Academy had no place for him. He joined the Marines when he was 17 years old and never looked back. Like his father before him and his father, he was in it for the long haul. The only thing he would do differently was not fall in love and have a family. After the Military Academy, Shras was placed with EL-Destro, a group of military men not unlike the Navy Seals of Ancient Earth. Their jobs were often the most dangerous but reaped the greatest harvest. A few on his team had resorted to piracy, including himself. At least until the war began. Caught in the crossfire between a Cardassian Cruiser and Defiant Class, El-Destro was scattered and foced to find refuge wherever they could. Not an easy thing to do when your one of the most hated groups in the galaxy. They survived, but not without casualties. Seven out of thirteen remained. The crash landing left Shras with a scar that he refused to have removed. "Honors of battle." He said. When the war was finally over, Shras returned to Andoria for a short break. There he trained and learned new skills so that the disaster which had taken place before was not repeated. Failure was unacceptable. |
