From his smuggling years he received one good scar from his shoulder to his elbow from a near miss phaser overload explosion. Galen also had a tattoo done in the form of a lion on his whole back. |

| Personal History | Galen grew up as an only child. His parents, though never married, stayed together and raised Galen until he was 13. It was around then that his parent’s died in a shuttle accident. And Ethan, alone, eventually became a smuggler of information. On his last and final run, while transferring information to a Romulan freighter, the people he stole it from, Cardassians, caught up to him and started a fire fight that was no mach for Galen’s small shuttle. Just as all was about to go to hell in a hand basket real quick, Galen found himself beamed aboard what looked like a Federation cruiser. On board, and in an interrogation room, he found out that unless he didn’t help Starfleet with the ‘liberation’ of the information, he might be sent back to Cardassia Prime for ‘punishment’. Unyielding in his position and thinking Starfleet wouldn’t do it, Galen said no. Just as the security chief was about to grab his collar, another Starfleet officer walked in and told the chief to leave. It was then that Galen life changed. So at age 17, and with the help of that unknown Starfleet officer, he joined Star Fleet, which was not easy considering his unruly past. But it was through Galens courage, and that unknown Starfleet officer, that Galen found his calling. He quickly showed his potential in the area of intelligence gathering. He placed 23rd at graduation among 1,300 other cadets. After Graduation, Galen joined aboard the USS Rutledge, where he improved his techniques at gathering and snooping for intelligence. He quickly showed his ability in obtaining sensitive information and aiding in the capture of two Dominion spies. The Intelligence Chief on USS Rutledge, so impressed by the young officer, that when the opening on board any ship became available, that he should apply for it, so he could do even more. After learning of an Opening aboard the USS Sarek, Galen quickly transfered, and has been helping behind gather minute information for sometime. Right away things did not go well. His own intelligence operative killed a member of the Sarek crew in an apperent self defense, which made Galen do an in depth review of the case. After the case was done, he was Promoted to full Lieutenant and given dutes as the 2XO. Shortly after that was done, the USS Sarek was attacked by the SS Sa\'treen, a local transport ship which was faking being pulled into a planets atmosphere. To help the ship, the Sarek pulled in to use its Tractor beam and sent a away team of engineers over to help the ship. Just as that happened, the ships fired a magnetic EMP weapon of some type, which completely disabled the Sarek, then took off with the away team. Using all his resources, Galen was able to find out the everything about the SS Sa\'treen, and the fact that it was brotherhood controlled. Now with the ship finally repaired, and on its way to rescue the missing crew, Galen finds himself being put on the away team that will do the rescue, as his knowledge of the facility they are going to will hopefully make it a quick one. After getting the only a few crew members back, The Sarek was allowed a few days shore leave. Since the tole of loosing so many crew members had gotten to him, He had decided to have a...\'few\' drinks in one of the bars. One thing led to another, and him and the Chief of Engineering ended up in the drunk tanks on the Sarek. Shortly after leaving the Starbase, the Sarek was recalled back to change commanding officers. Even though Galen thought this was not such a wise move by the upper echelons of command, he knew better then to chase at the truth, and trust their judgment. |
