Generally, Daniel is a very easygoing person, though he doesn't take kindly to being talked about behind his back. If he would discover someone resorting to that, he may confront them in private. If ridiculed in public, he often tries to make a joke out of it, though jibes in his direction may hurt his feelings, unless they're made by close friends. Because he smiles a lot, his twin Seska nicknamed him Cheshire. She is the only one who does get away with this nickname, and is quite possibly the only one who uses it.

Married his beloved Puv'lok in 2388, while the ship was in Earth Orbit.

Daniel isn't prone to jealousy but he's easily worried, especially when the health of his partner is concerned. He'll go at length to help someone (even an enemy), even it may go at the cost of his own well-being.

One thing he never got around to learning is how to swim, therefor Daniel will hesitate to go into any water that's deeper than knee-high. However, he loves water.

Seems to have an uncanny knack for attracting trouble, through little to no effort on his own part.
Ambitions Daniel hopes to become a surgeon within the marine corps, though he knows it might take years before he even gets the opportunity to begin training as a surgeon. For now, he enjoys his work as a senior nurse within the marine corps and working alongside the Starfleet medical staff. He is very good at his job and makes a very caring nurse, especially towards patients who exibit fear and he knows it too. His main training is trauma and he'll often work triage duties.

Another life-long ambition is to once enter the Earth-bound Tour de France competition. He spends many of his off-hours training on the holodeck.
Hobbies & Interests When off duty, Daniel enjoys relaxing in his quarters with a good book. He's not a very outgoing person. Though he loves cooking, he makes a very lousy cook in general. His mate already suggested he use the replicator rather than trying his own hand at dinner, however when given the chance he'll whip up a good basic dinner without much fuss.

He also enjoys spending time on the holodeck, engaging in holonovels besides the required training time for the marine corps. Though a nurse, he makes a reasonably good shot with a phaser rifle as well, however his hand-to-hand combat skills leave much room for improvement.

For sports, Daniel enjoys tour cycling and if he can't book a holodeck to do it, he'll take one of the stationary bikes in the gym, listening to upbeat music while doing his tour.

Personal History Nurse Daniel DiNozzo is born in 2359 in Ontario, Canada, hence his fluency in both English and French, though he is of French ancestry. He grew up on Earth however he moved around a lot, having spent most of his childhood in Canada and his teen years in New Zealand. From an early age on, Daniel knew what he wanted to do with his life and applied to the Federation Marine Corps at age sixteen. From there, he was a medical intern for several years before he was allowed to go to medical school and finally graduated as a nurse at age twenty-two.

He is the younger of twins, being born a scant seven minutes after his sister Seska, with whom he is very close. They are the spitting image of eachother and with many twins they are likely to finish eachother's sentences when they're in conversation. This aspect may confuse others a little, but their parents have grown used to it. Daniel isn't as close with his parents, and is even somewhat estranged from his father, who resented him joining the marine corps and had wanted him to join the diplomatic corps as he himself had. Though supportive of her son, his mother had eventually stood by his father in his decision to withdraw support.

Seska speaks to him on a frequent basis, treating him like a baby brother at all times, though she doesn't mean it in any degenerative way. Daniel knows this, and accepts this behaviour from no-one else. He even responds to the nickname 'Cheshire' that she's given him since they were children. She is the only woman he's ever loved, and probably will love. (apart from his mother of course)

Daniel is currently romantically involved with Lance Corporal Puv'lok, though their relationship is rapidly evolving into a partnership and he refers to Puv'lok as his mate, rather than his boyfriend. Nurse Daniel DiNozzo doesn't care about the age difference between himself and his mate, and could care less about the opinion of others regarding this relationship. Outwardly anyway as he often seeks approval of his peers.

After an accident in the Bajoran Gardens on DS5, Daniel spent a night in sickbay together with his partner. He suffered from hypothermia and shock, though most of his energy was spent trying to care for his Vulcan partner. In sickbay, he drained himself by engaging in a mind-meld, aided by Dr Chelsea Adams, in an attempt to bring Puv'lok back to the real world. It drained him both physically and emotionally, leaving him in a terror-filled deep sleep for several hours.

On the afternoon of the first mission day towards Baoara, Puv'lok proposed to Daniel to apply for joint quarters. Their request was readily approved by the captain who claimed she wouldn't be able to keep them apart even if she wanted to. That same day, they went to Tim Allen and they acquired quarter number 2344, secluded but fairly spaceous quarters. Daniel considers this to be one of the happiest days in his life.

A full day later, Daniel was drugged and abducted by a crazed intelligence officer. He managed to escape, though he was injured in the attempt and suffered from shock afterwards. Fortunately, he recovered well and was cleared for duty starting at his next shift after being checked over by the ELMH. The same day, he learned that his mate was in the early stages of pon farr and would be confined to quarters, under guard of security. Shortly after returning home, Daniel finally experienced the deep mind meld he had so yearned for but it resulted in him being caught in the throes of pon farr as well. Daniel, however, does not regret his decisions made where his bondmate are concerned, in fact he is overjoyed at the fact that Puv'lok chose to share this with him, rather than turning to someone else to solve it.

Daniel is extremely secretive on when exactly his birthday is, as he doesn't like to be the center of that much attention. It doesn't help that his twin calls him every year on his birthday, even though she got enough sense not to let his crewmates in on the secret.

During an away mission on a planet dubbed Paradise, Daniel's unit became under attack from an army of thousands of archers, which was - presumably - manifested by First Lieutenant Xander Jefferson. Believing that subdueing the lieutenant was the way to go, Daniel stunned him and was immediatey arrested. Following the arrest he spent a little whle in the brig after being lectured by both First Officer and security chief. A third lecture by Jefferson himself had him temporarily banished from HQ squad into First Squad as chief corpsman. He will need to earn his position in HQ again by re-earning the lieutenant's trust.

Daniel is currently engaged to be married to his life-partner Puv'lok.
